A Portrait of me

Malo e lelei, and today I am going to show you a portrait of myself, but before I show you, I am going to show you steps on how to draw a portrait.

Steps on how to draw a portrait:

1) Find a picture of yourself.

2) Draw your lines of symmetry.

3) Draw the shape of your head, and also you eyes, nose and mouth. (make sure you draw lightly)

4) After you do all of that compare your portrait to the picture of yourself.

5) Shading and Blending would make it look better.

This is a picture of what I have drawn, I started off with the symmetry lines, and then made my face shape, then I drew my eyes, nose and mouth, then I drew my T-shirt, and then my ears and hair.

The Feast Day of the Annunciation

Malo e lelei, this a blog about the Annunciation, You may ask, “What does the word Annunciation mean?”.

Annunciation is a celebration for Mary, the reason that exist, is because of how she was sent a message that she will receive a baby boy named “Jesus” at the age of 11 to 12, it was sent by an Angel from Heaven named “Angel Gabriel”. The message was “Do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God”. Did you know that Mary in Tongan is Malia, and Gabriel in Tongan is Kepaleli.

It is Celebrated in the twenty fifth of March.

Here is a Link to the Annunciation reading to know more. Luke 1:26-38

Sports Day

Malo e lelei. Today I am going to talk about Sports Day, what is Sports Day you may ask, it’s a day of sports, like Football, gutter board and all that stuff, and you do those activities, I did this in St. Pius X school with the students after Saint Patrick’s Day.

On Sports Day we did relays, Gutter board, Football dribbling and I can’t remember what the others are called.

We got separated into nine or ten groups, and there are only six people in each team, I was in group 4 and we had to go up against group 3, the first activity we did was relays, it was pretty easy going up against them, the score was I think      3- 1,  but that doesn’t matter.

Gutter Board

After we did the relays, we moved onto Gutter Board, in Gutter Board you have to use a small ball like a tennis ball, and there should be a triangle shaped board, and when you hit with the ball it comes back to you and you get a point, we did this for I think 4 or 2 mins, I went up against a Junior named Jaden, he’s really good, but I won against him, the score was 41 – 35.

Football Dribbling

In Football Dribbling, you have to kick the ball in a zigzag way, it’s was pretty cool, but hard at the same time, because I’m not very good at Football, but something that caught my attention is that I had to kick the ball all the way to the end of the cone, then I had to sprint and get the ball and then run back, I don’t remember the winner but I do remember team 3 was actually doing good.

St. Patrick’s Day

Malo e lelei. Today I am going to talk about St. Patrick’s day.

Saint Patrick’s real name is Maewyn Succat, he was also born in Britain of a Romanized family and was born in 386 AD.

Saint Patrick was kidnapped around the age of sixteen by Iresh raiders then was carried into slavery in Ireland, after more then several years as a servant, Saint Patrick thought of a plan to escape and run away from his master. Saint Patrick found a passageway to Britain.

Saint Patrick is known for bringing christianity to most of Ireland.

On Thursday 17th of March we celebrate Saint Patrick’s day. We had soulmates, and a soulmates is someone like you. We were partnered up with somebody from year – 4 to 5, I was partnered with my friend Sione, because my Soulmate wasn’t there, then went the St. Pius X church and sang Mo maria.
